How a trip lip is fixed
A lip of about a quarter inch to an inch is ground flush with a scarifier, then a diamond grinder, with a vacuum running so the dust is collected. Past about an inch, or when the panel rocks, the slab comes out. Roots that lifted it are trimmed, and new concrete is formed to meet the walks on either side. The same list can include the curb.
